Rifles you love to hate...

Hate is a strong word, I'll substitute..."don't care for" and further state each to their own.

I don't care for:
Remington bolt actions
Tikka T3's
SKS's
any rifle with a muzzle brake
rilfes with short barrels

I gotta say I personally feel bad for the guys that have to shoot guns like Westley Richards, Mauser, oh and don't get me started on Holland & Holland rifles. Those guns are pathetic. I do however love the idea of one day hunting with a Remington 770's with a high end scope on it like the ones that come with them.....

Could you imagine having to hunt with this??

I am imagining it right now, poor bastard stuck with one of those lemons.I feel sorry for them alright.

I've always felt the Savage 99 had to be designed by Pablo Picasso, or someone else suffering from Schizophrenia, and that it was inherentaly aborrant to anyone who was basically sane.

I dislike expensive firearms that don't do anything another firearm costing 75% less can't do. Doesn't mean I'm super cheap, if an uber long range rig simply cannot be built for less than $3K, then that's just what it costs. However, I won't pay a buck more for brand name, country of origin, bragging rights or any of that silliness. Value for dollar is king, period.

I hate people. The more they express their opinions, the less likable they are, me included, I'm sure. The people who smile, and tell you what they like, as opposed to listing their own irrational foaming dislikes seem so much more balanced and pleasant. I reserve my hate for people, as it is wasted on objects. I have yet to meet a gun I hated, though I have met a few that made me sigh, and feel old.

+1. :agree:

I dislike firearms that have a significantly lengthened barrel to make it NR. The 858 is right on the line, but sometimes, at that certain angle - it just looks farked.

Also can't stand stainless, nickel or any shiny guns. :p

T97 has got to be the fugliest looking firearm, I'm talking top 3 in the world, and somehow people are just dying to buy them!! I wish I could troll HARD on those t97 threads, but I would get an infraction.

As with many here, I very much dislike the T-97. There is so many wrong angles to that firearm it gives me a headache to look at for more than a few seconds. I held one just for kicks and it has the worst ergonomics of any rifle I have ever held.

Also, the Remington 770, 783, and anything made by Mossberg. Strictly based on looks and overall "cheapness". Other than that, I can pretty much appreciate 'em all!

I can handle most firearms, some are job specific others are mult-funcional. The old Stevens T bolt shotgun with the wood looking synthetic stocks (77 ?) are a no go for me. Anything that can't shoot accurately enough to keep within 3 inches at 100. I have 2 SKSs but think they lack life. Many of Mossberg new guns have a look only a CEO could like. They should go back & look at there 22s from the 50s. I do dislike statements about black guns/autos certain style of guns being ban! That logic would have us playing tiddly-winks, as even bows are weapons of war. Any tool is just that, a nuke is harmless with out the ass hats that have the trigger. Lets work on the owners not the tool.

Did anyone mention that Mossberg/ AR wantabee lever action disaster? Don't own one, but would definitely poke fun at anyone who showed up at the range with one!!!
