Rigby Mauser bolt shroud ?

I have seen a couple of pics online of an early Rigby built Mauser custom with a square style bolt shroud with a right side vertical style safety. Does anybody have any info on these?

It's used on their "Double Square Bridge Model". Best way to know is to contact them... but put your arm deep in your pocket... To me, it would be much less expensive to buy a "Winchester Safety Style" bolt shroud, which are easily obtained in Canada..

If I can get some decent info and pics I may try and make one. Seems like the new Rigby is not the same as the original Rigby.

Are you sure the shroud hasn't been replaced or modified? Pre-war Rigby's would have used the standard shroud with a 3-position flag safety, just like the military K98.

If I can find the pic again I will post it. It is a very different square shape and would be a better place to monut a peep than at the end of the firing pin.
