Rigid Arca rail to extend MDT LSS forearm

Who makes extremely rigid Arca rails?

I am thinking of extending an MDT LSS-RF Gen 2 rimfire chassis by attaching an Arca rail that is longer than the forearm. Ideally, I would buy an MDT LSS XL chassis, but they aren't manufactured for rimfire rifles.

I am concerned about the Arca rail flexing if I mount a bipod past the end of the forearm.

My other option is to go with a KRG Bravo chassis.

EDIT: Chassis will be used on a CZ 457 .22lr rifle.

Are you talking about the MDT XRS chassis? I took a look at it just now. It would be great but I didn't see my CZ 457 action listed as an option.

the short fore end on the LSS rimfire chassis is the main reason I won't buy one for my 457. a few people here have claimed that arca rails flex quite a bit if extended past the fore end, so that doesn't seem ideal.

another relatively inexpensive chassis option for the 457 is the Oryx. it has a longer fore end, and you can buy an arca rail off the Oryx site that's made for it.
I have a KRG Bravo on a Tikka centerfire, it's very good as well. be warned that you will almost certainly be ordering a spigot for the end of it, as the fore end is pretty short. that being said, they make a spigot with an integrated arca rail ($$$).

I have the Gen2 LSS for my centerfire rifle which is short like the RF version, and I run the MDT 10.5" M-LOK ARCA rail. it works great and i have no noticeable flex, but I did have to mill off the M-LOK lug from the rail at the end.

If you can bend the typical ARCA rail, you are definitely loading WAYYYY too much :)

Give me a shout... no issues running this rail that long for what you actually need in a rimfire prs game.

A few distinguished shooters have observed issues with verticality at distance which can be attributed to the thin ARCA rail extended beyond it's interface with chassis/stock.

Most aftermarket ARCA rails are really thin, hence the problem. That's what JAE's ARCA rails have that triangular support on the ARCA rail once it extends past the chassis, stiffness is much improved.

However, it may not be much of an issue on .22's. I would definitely avoid it on centerfire rifles.

I wouldn't do it on a centre fire but I have my CZ 455 in an LSS-RF (one of the old gens) with the MDT 10.5" RRS dovetail extended out past the front of the chassis. I haven't noted any issues with it and have made impacts out to 420" yards routinely (12" target) with CCI SV...

Frank Galli from Sniper's Hide has witnessed this issue first hand at his clinics concerning center fire rifles with extended ARCA rails.
Once the bipod was moved rearward the issue disappeared.
