Rim Fire Scopes Vs Center Fire Scopes

Is it okay to put a centerfire scope on a rim fire??

Rimfire scopes have a paralax setting usually set to 50 yards and a centerfire scope is set at 100 yards. Short answer, yes.

i HAVE A BSA DEER HUNTER SCOPE I BOUGHT FOR 70$ FOR A RIFLE OF MINE BUT NEVER ENDED UP USING IT AND I BOUGHT A 22..SO IS IT POSSIBLE?

as mentioned before about the parallax issue, you shouldn't have any troubles at all using a centerfire on a rimfire.

I would not even half think about trying the other way around though.

Yes it will work, but it's going to be fuzzy and you're going to get reticle shift.

Yes it will work. Your best bet is to get an adjustable objective model. That way you can set your paralax to fifty yards like a rimfire scope. That will get rid of the blurriness. I use a Bushnell 3200 5-15x40AO on my 22.

Has the OP been listening to the nonsense from the guys at Basspro in Vaughan? Those numpties make stuff up as they go. They told me that you can't put centerfire scope on a rimfire.
