Hey folks! I'm working on my ammo colection, and while sorting through it, I realized I have a few rounds I'm not 100% sure about.

A bit of Google found me this picture:

And below is a selection of my ammo:
(the 38 Special and 32 S&W are just in there for reference, everythign elseis rimfire)

What are 1, 2 & 3?

Based on the first pic, and judging by case length, I think 1 is a 5 mm Rem.

2 is a mystery, and I think 3 is a 32 Long.

Don't have my micrometer handy, so I can't give meaurements at the moment :( but I will try to get that info tomorrow.

Thanks!

I'd never heard of 25rf before  at first when I was rummaging throught eh box of assorted rounds, I'd passed it over as another 22 Mag, but then i saw two of them side by each and realized it was different.

Took a few measurements, and compared them with Google-Fu results, and yup, I think those are what they are. It is certainyl eaisier to find the specs for a round if you know what it is :D searching for a name with only themeasurements is a royal pain :(

Thanks!

You may be missing others, but I KNOW you're missing a .22 Winchester Auto. :) I can help you there, and I'm in the north end of the GTA myself.

I didn't even know 25 existed until I found this round, and I see a lot of "how to's" on modifying & reloading for hte 32RF, so I'd guess they aren't being made, or as so stupid expensive it's not worth buying them.

Have you come across a 41 short rf? It seems so odd to me. I think its the strangest one I have

Not one I have found yet, but I still have another small box of "oddballs" and loose ammo to go through.

Yes, I know I need to make a display of some sort for these ... and organize them ... this was just done to get them all in one picture. (and there are a few doubles in there)

Back row, third from right is 50BMG, left of it is 470 NE

Surprised no EXTRA LONG 22rf represented in the previous photos. Here's a nice comparison between LR, EL, and WRF.

And here are a couple of old EL boxes.

I also have a single specimen of a WW II German BELTED LR blank round. Just wish I had kept the original box when I sold off my box collection about 30 years ago.

Lots of interesting rounds out there.

Well, the weather has been horrid here lately, so I had too much free time on my hands, and was looking for something to keep my fingers busy while watching TV ... Happened to spot a tube of Flitz in the cupboard ... and the rest is history ... I now have a bunch of nicely polished rounds in my collection instead of the old tarnished ones.
