I drove down from Sudbury, hoping I'd be rolling in epic ammo choices at the mecca of of Ontario shooters "EPP'S" and found not only were they sold out, but the staff was uninformed of what could be available. I figured I could get some segmented ammo there, but he had never heard of it. That's fine, but else do you have? Some of this and some of that........ like what? There is no visible ammo there, you have to know what you want and ask for it to get anything.... I'd like to try a few different kinds of ammo but I'm not sure whats out there, all I can get here is what CTC has in stock. It kinda sucked, I was looking for segmented 22LR but the guy never heard if it. I did however get some sub sonic CCI that Is fantastic for use around here, and my old Remington loves it. I wish they had the ammo on display, I realize that space there is at a premium, but come on, the ammo probably sells better then bullet bottle openers and long underwear..........

Not a lotta places have the ammo out on shelves - Al Flaherty's doesn't, Lebaron doesn't, and SAIL doesn't. BassPro does, I think, but I've only shopped there twice, so I might be remembering wrong.

Cabellas and wholesale sports have out shelves and lots of it.Pick it out and head for the cash register. They have back up stash behind the counter.Canadian tire has it to be viewed but locked up like Walmart.

But then again we don.t have any Liberals out here. They are as sparse as your ammo.

Hey Squirrel~sent you a message. :) Bottom line...as sad as this is...rimfire ammo selection in Ontario can be a spotty thing. I have my local dealer order it in for me. I get a brick, order another. Or two. If I happen to see it on the shelf of another shop I'm in~I grab some, no matter what's on the shelf at home. See it, buy it.

Thanks for the info, .22LR, I used to live in Aurora. I went to pick up some blaze orange pants on sale at Canadian Tire in Espanola (19.95 awesome deal) and lo and behold..... CCI ammo on display, plus the had the segmented rounds. 10 minutes away from home, as opposed to a day trip to Hawkins Corners.... I gave them a try at my backyard range, and they are an awesome hunting round for anything you don't want to eat. A water filled pop can exploded into pieces like it got hit with a grenade. I'll stick to sub-sonic s for birds, but if there is a raccoon in my garbage, he's gonna get ***ked up.... Thanks guys.

Shooter's Den in sudbury has want you want - saw segmented there this week. Has quite a variety of ammo and knows what he has - Phone 705-522-2772.
