I have a single shot blank starter pistol made by HS (Herbert Schmidt) in 6mm Flobert.
It rarely fires. The hammer creates a dent in the cap but doesn't appear strong enough to ignite it.
So I bought a 2nd one thinking I could figure out the problem but it does the same thing
If I hold down the trigger and pull the hammer back well beyond the cocked position and then let go they will go bang.
Any thoughts on a work-around? Should I try shaving the hammer to make it more pointed?
Thanks in advance!
(P.S. The blanks work without fail in my Rohm revolver.)
