Rimfire Bolts

I actually prefer the tube fed rifles. ARCHAIC as .22lr said but I have not lost a tube mag when shooting,...holds more than 10 shots before reloading...reloads quicker and less harm comes to your thumb, always there when you want it and never wears out . I do have some box mag rifles but they have a time and place but in the fields when varmint eradicating, the tubes come into their own.

marlins

My first marlin was a model 81 tube, thousands of gophers bit the dust because of it accuracy. I now have some where between 8 &10 .22

Some that I can remember 81's, 80's, 39 a, 56, 57, 7000 +

If one gets the tube holder from Cabelas it makes filling a tube fed rifle very fast. Or make them from large pop straws.

They are probably one of the toughest .22 out there as I have put thousands of rounds though mine.

Marlin's are not discussed because there isn't much to talk about. They're hardly exciting firearms. They just work well. All business.

For the modest individual who doesn't have to prove his gun is bigger or blacker than the fellow next to him :p

The gun isn't named after the Marlin fish. It's named after John Marlin, the company founder.

Tube fed guns are still being used. Especially in shotguns.

The microgroove rifling is extremely accurate.
