Rimfire goals 2017?

Steinbach do a fun rimfire shoot each summer. Selkirk does a rimfire steel silhouette 3 times a summer. 25 50 75 100 yds chickens pigs turkeys and rams lots of fun.

One goal I have is to get another of my cz 455 's up to the 50 yd challenge with an American barrel and also one with 16" threaded barrel as well, will see how it goes. Lots of time to start those.Already have the barrels and a few receivers to switch around. They should up to it around with some serious measuring and tweaking.Time will tell. Could even throw in a Boyds pro varmint stock into the mix!!!
Mike doesn't Winkler range want to do a fun shoot or don't you belong? It shouldn't be a problem setting that up.

Let me know if one does get planned or set up in the Winkler area. I'm normally cruising through there in the summer visiting the in-law's grandparents. Could be fun to bring a .22!!

My goals are pretty modest. I'd like to get out to the range more often. The closest decent range for me now is a one-and-a half hour drive up the Fraser Valley, and so trips are less frequent than I'd like. I'd like to continue on my quest for BR-level accuracy from a non-BR rifle, like a HB sporter (Anschutz 1710 would be an example). It's hard for me to get in on the competitive shooting here, given the timing and my life circumstances, but more mid-week range sessions would sure be nice.

Whether at the range of in the woods, this is a top priority for me too. I feel trapped by the need to be close to the city, while wishing I could be in the country.

Goal #2 is to finally take delivery of the rifle I mentioned ordering in the 2015 rimfire goals thread.

Going to get a Leupold scope and get a special turret laser etched for longer distances with the 22 LR match ammo. (1050 fps)
The very nice custom walnut adjustable target stock for the 350B Mauser panned out really well, but I am not satisfied with the optical quality of the Shepard scope.
Not to mention the funky sight in procedure.

I have a lot of goals right now, but I know that only a few of them will be achieved as they are often changing. One is to give shooting at 100 yards with a .22LR a very serious try. Here wind conditions play a critical part as does having top notch, consistent ammo. Another, perhaps a little more affordable goal, is to shoot for the smallest average group size at 50 yards -- the distance at which .22LR is best suited in terms of results and reasonable ammo cost. I think I want to get another scope as well, maybe a Sightron SIII 8-32 or a SIII 10-50.

There's a club that has an indoor 25 yard range that's about 40 minutes away. I'm giving thought to joining it in order to have a place to shoot rimfire handgun during the winter months. I've had a few .22LR pistols but never really made much use of them. I'm also planning to retire in 2017 so I would have a great deal more time to shoot handgun, especially indoors during the winter when rifle shooting is less practical.

congrats on the retirement

I have a cz 455 I need to get more trigger time with, as it sits I'm happy with the setup.
I'd like to get a tang sight on my winchester 9422m, more trigger time needed too - find a ammo offering it loves and stock up
I picked up a .22lr barrel for my h&r tamer that I need to get sighted in... I might get a nice scope rail for it too and add a rds
Lastly I still have my 10/22 which seems to be directionless. I don't really know what to do with it. Unless I(or someone else) ever get .22 steel challenge going, it's only purpose is to remain my first purchased and still owned rifle.

I plan on learning how to shoot my di-optic sighted Shultz&Larson "properly" (as a target rifle).....this may get addictive!

I have a bunch of cleaned up Cooeys to rid myself of, which will make space for some potential new projects. New projects likely being more Cooeys.....

I'd love to get my hands on an Anschutz 1727F in .22LR or possibly a Henry lever in 17HMR

see if I can't find a way to get this 22 Marksmen Challenge program off the ground in the central area. travelling to the US on a long road trip, while out there meet the founder of the 22 Marksman Challenge and also shoot some suppressed guns. Since I can't here.

Finishing 3 rimfire projects. these better shoot groups of 1/4" or better @50yrds or they are getting parted out. More match stick shooting @ 25 & 50yds with time limit. That is my plan

I hope to finish the stock I made for my Tradex S & L this year.

Currently its in a "useable" state but I want to refine it a bit more, then find some ammo it likes and get on the 1/2" at 50 yards list.

Also want to do a 10/22 build that is a tack driver. Have built a couple (or more) short barreled and/or "tactical" builds but I want a tack driving 10/22 in my stable.

My first goal is to submit a challenge group with all .2,s with my new to me anschutz 1813 super match. I have a new to me Vortex HST 6 -24×50 on its way from the EE. I also upgraded to a rock br from a regular rock front rest and need to learn it as it has windage adjustable .Another goal is to take Horseman up on his invite to their range in mission and shoot with his group. Another goal is to add too my stock of center X. I also plan on more free standing 50 m open sight shooting with my vintage winchester 69a with Redfield and Lyman sights. I will be also shooting groups with my MPR and probably sell it later. Possibly purchasing a win 52c if I can find one at a decent price. Basically mixing it up a bit and more buying, playing then selling. I also have to fix the trigger spring on my vintage mossberg 46b and shoot it as its been a project since I bought it.
Most of all have fun!

I'm not sure winkler mb still does a rimfire thing I heard years ago it was held in the arena upstairs I believe or basement if they have one. I would loooove to join in so,etching like that for a change! If it would only be 25 yards I would prefer rimfire handgun t that ramge

Shoot more gophers. Maybe start eyeballing a nice anschutz for some bench work. Other then that rebarrel some centerfire rifles.

Edit: One thing I forgot add to the stock of 22lr ammo.
