Rimfire goals 2017?

2017.

couple brands in the fire that i want to get too:

1) my big 10/22 build - now that i have it to where i think its done i want to get my hands on some mid range / top end ammo and really see what i can get it to do and once that is done of course go at the 1/2@50 challenge.

2) get together my harem of backpack 22's and do some testing.

3) ive got 2 more 10/22's that i want to build and i want to build at least one of them this year.

4) have no 22mag/17HMR of any of those in my safes, wasnt overly impressed with the ones i have shot but am really impressed with the 223 i built this year (2016) so want to really take a good look at 22mag and 17HMR and some of the other one in there and find one that i like and get the best rifle i can in that niche set up to fill the void in my collection.

Well, this year I got my CZ452 Varmint... It is a tac driver, can do the 1/2 inch challenge with ELEY Match and squeaks by the line with the High vel HP's ...

Seeing as the tree rat season is over, time to put away the 3x9 el cheapo optic. Stock the beauty tiger striped stock that came with it. Its time to turn this into a "precision trainer"

The boyds stock should be here in a month (IE the new year), I need to find out what optic I will put on it ... Guys in the south seem to like night force and S&B but I'm not about to drop that on a 22. I will likely get a Vortex Viper.

Then its just time to get the barrel retuned for the match ammo (gota love that front lug) and I should be able to put up a very nice target.

I want to set up my rimfire bench better so I will shoot more, build more targets and keep looking for the stainless mag fed 22lr marlin to complete the set. Looking forward to shooting more in 2017:)

What kind of bench are you looking to set-up aaron v?

I'd like to get a youth gun to start my kids shooting they are still pretty small 5 and 8 but would like to get them started. I guess I should buy an air rifle first, then a youth rimfire I guess?

I have some mods to complete and some stock work to touch up. I also have a few rimfires that I have not properly tested with a full range of different loads to determine their best ammo choice. Finally, since I've sold off a bunch of centerfires, I have a number of surplus Leupold scopes that will now find homes on my rimfires, upgrading them from the cheaper scopes that many of them wore.

But my biggest goal is to sell enough of them to get me down into the single-digit range!

I've got a pile of projects I need to finish, and start for that matter. I've got a Stiller 2500X, Benchmark barrel, BR stock, Jewell trigger, Harrell tuner and Manson reamer that needs some attention. A Lilja .920 straight barrel for my Ruger 77/17 .17WSM that needs threading and chambering. A pair of 541T HB's that I did the two screw conversion on and need bedding. A pile of others that need bedding and trigger tweaks.
