Rimfire goals 2017?

I tried to sell off all my rimfires in 2016 but I still have a few to get rid of next year.

Will keep 1 10/22 Takedown for the go bag.

2017 Goal, have someone donate me 50-70K & a bull dozer, So I can build the best rimfire range within 200 miles of this dump city I live in. need to win a big loto

I'd build some pimp range if I won 649
Your post reminded me, 2017 looks like it'll include me buying a house.
So, finding a place with enough land to shoot on is included in the 2017 Goals of mine.

Thinking I should upgrade the Viper PST on my .17 to a NF, got spoiled on ATACR glass and now it's hard to use lower quality stuff, can't justify the cost on all my guns but I spend a lot of time looking through my .17 during gopher season.

I think I'd like to go shoot some gophers with the old 22 that my grandpa taught me to shoot with, get my kids shooting a bit more, do the 50 yd challenge, figure out if my Norinco 522 is worth building a stock for, maybe try out a local 22 match. 22 silhouette shooting would probably be fun.

@kinthelt. Are there any rimfire matches or challenges here in Manitoba?? I live an hour south of Winnipeg and there is nothing that I know of. It sucks. I'd really enjoy doing some challenges and target shoots for fun with other peeps who enjoy shooting sports

I don't really know, but apparently other people who answered on this thread do! :)

I'm new too, so this is all good info for me. :)

Ahh yes...win the lotto 6/49...or LottoMax...or Grand-A-Day. :) Good tips~though I'm a band-wagon lottery ticket buyer. My odds might be lower than everyone else's. :)

Funny how with age..I want more time to shoot, and not as many new toys. Any NEW toys have to be special in some way. Something snazzy, or, at least something I've never tried. Glad to see gopher-shooting ranks pretty high for so many people. Hard for me to get excited about the 1/2" challenge thing if gopher-shooting is even a remote possibility for this easterner. :)

I am not even that old and find myself only really getting something that has some snazz to it or build something that isn't available to buy but still has to have a purpose. Pretty much done buying just to buy as I pretty much have what I want and what I have does everything I need/want it to.

My goal is to stop fiddling around with set-ups and get all of the rimfires up and running with scopes.

^agreed. Becoming quality over qty. in recent years..unless there is a real novelty factor I just have to try out. Reason I'm after a pump! Basically useless for anything but plinking in my case...but I'm rediscovering the pleasure in doing that after so many years of peering through scopes. I've settled on CZ/BRNO as the best gun for the $ after having had so many makes/models. It's only budgetary constraints keeping me from the Anschutz (or 2) I'd like to own!

I'm looking forward to seeing the results Hoyt!

I echo this comment. Reason why I recently picked up a single shot bolt with peeps. Looking forward to slowing things down a bit and making "every shot" count.
