Rimfire mag pouches?

Does anyone know who makes proper magazine retention for rimfire pistol mags?

My daughter is doing the pistol matches and is using a Ruger MkIII .22 in the rimfire class. My single stack 1911 pouches are way too big as the skinny thin mags bounce out when she moves.

There must be something out there.

Any help would be appreciated.

only solution ive seen is custom made inserts for the adjustable mag pouches like the DAA ones.

I've seen some magnetic mag holders , that should work I'd think - if they can hold .45 mags then they should be fine for the .22 . I think doubletap has the ghost magnetic mags and they're even a site sponsor .

heavenIsAlie, We added a rimfire catagory to our pistol and three gum matches a few years ago. You should have mag pouches for that just like for centerfire pistol. My daughter has so far just been using a back pocket for her mags, but wants "normal" mag pouches like the rest of us.

how about a 12 ga shotgun belt with loops that stretch, might fit the thin mk III mags

Maybe make your own from some 2 inch wide nylon webbing or a two inch wide strip of leather. With a roughly 9 inch length heat seal the ends first if using the webbing. Then fold over and sew closed a 1/2 inch flap on one end and a 2 inch flap on the other. Then fold near to the middle and sew up the sides to form a mag pouch. The 2 inch loop is for the belt to pass through and the 1/2 inch fold is simply to have a rounded lip to make it more stiff for inserting the end of the mags without folding under the edge of the nylon webbing or leather.

I use an Uncle Mike's for a single stacker (because I had an old one lying around) with my Ruger MKIII mags, I unscrewed it & found it had a couple of rubber spacers between the outer & inner shells...works great, nice and tight with the .22 mags.

Ebay I bought a Fobus double mag pouch for Ruger rimfire mags along with a holster.

Both built for Ruger gear.

Buy her something to hold a few rounds of 12 gauge too, next match in September will be a shotgun/pistol match.

The easier solution might be to get rid of the Ruger and pickup a GSG 1911. I bought one and the gun and mags fit perfectly into my IPSC and IDPA gear.
