It really likes RWS R-50 -- go figure.

Here's a prone target fired this past weekend at 50 metres:

No, I didn't adjust enough for the wind, but it's still a 5-shot, 11 mm group. :D

Hopkins & Allen No. 822 "Full Loop" Lever

Unlike most of its counterparts of the 1920s and '30s, this little H&A did not wear the usual "pigtail" style of lever for operating its dropping block. Only a very few .22rf single-shots have ever featured the "Full Loop" type of lever, and this gun wears it well.

It's a very handy quick takedown model but sports the more "Western" flavor of its lever. Like the old Hamilton single-shot .22s, it did not go by "Model" number but was prefixed with the abbreviation NO., just the same as the Hamilton line of rifles.

There is ONE very rare variation of the Hamilton No. 027 which is stamped with the word "Model." I'll run a photo of it a bit later.

My Answers To the Umarex Colt M4 .22

First is a Rhineland R22. The bull barrel on it makes it meaty and accurate.

Second is an AKS-74U Krinkov Krinker Plinker. Of course the folding stock is pinned to GPNS policies and guidelines. Both the sight and scope work 100% and can be used at the same time without having to diddle with anything.

Unfortunately I am not so happy smiley positive on the Umarex Colt M4 .22's coming in as non-restricted so if that happens these girls will get all the stroking they deserve.

Both rifles are very accurate and eat almost anything. I can hit 6" and 8" gongs at 50m and the 10" and 100m pretty much every shot. Very reliable guns, and both are completely legal to hunt with.
