Rimfire Pics...Show em off!!!

I typically have not liked the look of the Kriss Vector.

But for some reason I think this one looks awesome lol. Quite expensive though. Has it been worth it in terms of reliability, eating all ammo, built well etc? The GSG 16 is fun but feels so cheap. How does this feel? I have never picked one up. Thanks.

My 22s

First up is the inherited Belgian made Browning SA22. This was purchased new by my grandfather father sometime in the late 50s when my my mother was born to be her first gun. (He bought a second Japan made one when my aunt was born for her first). My mother has since handed to me as she loves it but is sadly loosing her sight. It’s seen a few rounds in its day but still looks very nice. Hope to take this to the range in the future.

Second is the Savage A22 I purchased as my first rifle. Put it in a Boyd’s At-One stock as I wasent a fan of the stock it came with. And added a bushnell banner 4-12 (since replace with the 3-9 bushnell banner that came on my .223 savage axis II as I figured the extra magnification be better served on the .223). Had this rifle out to the range once so far and been very happy. Can’t wait to get out again.

My current chicken rifle is currently under construction

It took a year almost to the day to build, got it all finished up and put together today. My first build from a raw blank, the old fashion way. Only power tool used was a drill press to drill the holes. Can’t wait for warmer weather to test out this 2e.

Thanks guys!

Husky, I used tung oil for a finish, first few coats were wet sanded, then added another 6-7 coats on top of that. Iv added about 25% spar varnish for my final coats before, and tried it on this stock. It ended up with a bit to much shine for my liking, so knocked it off then finished with straight tung.

Skwerl, Iv always been a lefty, but have never shouldered a left handed rifle. I thought it would be a neat thing to try for my first attempt at a stock. I added a 1/4” or so cast and a little toe out just for the fun of it. I must say, it shoulders up perfectly with my sight picture. I just started another stock for a custom defiance I have, I may look at doing the same kind of thing again.

All of my rifles have huge meaning to me, this one particular, I worked in the family sawmill when I was a wee boy after schools until I saved up enough money ($550 at the time). When I turned 9, I finally saved enough, and my dad went in and bought it for me. My very first sense of earning what I owned, im thankful they started me young.

After endless time ammo testing my ruger precision rimfire and not getting anywhere, I bought this Annie MPR 64 from a gentleman here. All I run is the SK yellow trainer ammo that comes in the can, I passed the 50M challenge using that ammo and is the only ammo that goes through the rifle. It's got a Bushnell elite 6-24 power scope made in Japan with 1/8 adjustments, the glass is very crisp to say the least. I bought a Tikka T1X and started ammo testing to get the optimal results, I gave up knowing that it would take a while and sold it off, also wasn't impressed with the barrel finish and with how rough the bolt was. I am sticking with Annie. Also pictured is my Browning Buckmark rifle. Maybe one day I will buy a 457. My only 22lr rifles and both turn heads at the range!
