My TM22

How does it shoot ?
First shots this morning.
Sweet....sweet.... a pure joy.
I was a bit concerned by ejection ....this thing sent the empties to the next parking lot.

Cloudy, no wind, 15 degrees C.
CCI Standard Velocity, front bag only, 50 meters.
Like with my Long Branch No 7, a target with a white center would have been better.Image (95).jpg

It is a tribute for the movie Blood Diamond.

As i lost my power tool, everything were all done by hand filing and cutting. Toughest part was to measure and file the cutting on the barrel so the FSP and handguard would be secured on it.

2nd toughest was to source time period correct accessories or something very close to it. The optic is aimpoint ML2, the civilian version of the comp M2, I don't want to use those Amazon airsoft optic on this so it took me awhile to get one.

Flashlight from original Movie looks like a surefire 660 series which has been discontinued, I am still trying to find a substitute which is close enough to the original model.

Flash hider from the rifle in the movie is a chopped Car15/Xm177 muzzle. The strike industry linear comp will have to stay with the build until i find the actual one.

Derya Tm22 (not the RIA feather TM22)
Dlask 10in barrel
DPMS front sight and carry handle
Alex's homebrew charging handle
Handguard from RIA TM22
Aimpoint ML2

let me know if anyone is selling a car15/Xm177 flashhide

Absolutely brilliant! What a fantastic build. How has the reliability been on the TM22?

I finished to clean the Mauser K-98k trainer.
The rifle has seen heavy use but is very sound.

- cleaned the bottom of the dings to remove old finish,
- sanded the wood....only what was necessary,
- applied 4 coats of Minwax and finished with Shaftol,
- blued the end of the barrel, the bands and the trigger/magazine floor,
- cleaned the bolt and the receiver with a metallic brush,
- I'm awaiting an original sling.
