CRPS includes the Athlon Argos BTR in production... yes the pricing limits have been fluid. Works very well and already taken overall wins in ON matches.
The scope has just been updated on the turret and the price has dropped.... nice!
however, if you are going to play CRPS and other LR rimfire, the distances are getting way out there and will likely increase in the percentage of longer stages. for the 100yds matches, many scopes will work... for shooting to 300m and beyond, you need travel and most entry scopes do not offer enough. And there is reliability of tracking....
Remember that just because there are specs on the side of the box, it may not indicate what is useable. Thinking you can dial and hold with the reticle sounds good on paper but there are some stages where you are moving near, far and everything in between and having the ability to do what you need when you need it, helps a bunch.
I run a scope with 32mils... I have over 20 mils of up travel AND a reticle that is 19mils tall. I used every option that scope could give me at the Western Finale. I know several stages were a real struggle for shooters with more basic scope set ups.
If you have to reach out to 300m and beyond while anticipating some 'interesting' positions at short range, more elevation is a good thing.
