I'm looking at a Simmons 22LR Rifle Scope and I'm wondering, do all rimfire scopes take a 1 inch ring?
I found rings designated just for "rimfires" and I'd like to make sure the following components I'm about to order are compatible with my Ruger 10/22.

The rimfire designation on scope rings usually refer to the dovetail groove they fit. Rimfires use a smaller groove than centerfires, 3/8" dovetail for rimfire and 7/8" for everything else unless it's *#**##* metric. From what i can tell you should be good to go.

MOST rimfire scopes do take 1" rings but you could also mount a scope with a 30mm tube if you wanted. (just match the rings)
The rings you have chosen (bottom URL) will mount to both a Dovetail and a Weaver rail so you should be good to go.

* Note: the scope you have picked comes with rings. Do you need to order another set also?

That's a good call on the extra set on rings. Yes, I will need another set. From past experience is that the rings included with the rifle scope will be garbage.

Simmons rings are fine. Check them out before spending money on a second set. It is a 10.22 you're scoping not a Barrett lol.

I thought, mind as well. The rings i got with my Bushnell .22 scope wont site evenly. From the pictures of the Simmons scope, it looks like they're the same rings.
