I have tried several scopes on my 1022 to varying degrees of success. Bushnell variable ($60) had a different aim point for every power of magnification. Tried an older Weaver as I had one on an old Cooey many years ago but eyes were a lot younger then. I decided to stick with 4x when Dave at Reliable in Vancouver showed me a Nikon 4x. At $160 the optics are remarkable-real crisp. They make a 3-9 for about $199 too.

Don't know if you've tried the Bushnell Sportsman. 3x9 x 32mm - Airgun scope. Got it on my 10-22 and seems to work fine.

White falls carries the Mueller line of scopes in Canada. Do a search for them on google and you will find their website :).

I have a Bushnell 3200 on my 10/22 (5-15x40). I have found optics very good and clicks to be positive.

I have Bushnell Legend 5 x 15 on the 3 .22's that I use for Gopher hunting.
Great scope by the way.
Gophers are NOT happy:D
Thanks

Well, after looking at all the scopes the dealer had in the price range I went for the Nikon. Extremely crisp optics good as my Leupold VX111. Under $200 and looking forward to taking it out to the range. I wont buy any more used optics and will check and compare every purchase. They make a 3-9 for about $200 I might put on my Savage 99c. Check out the Nikon brand if you have a dealer that sells them. Thanks for all the feedback
