My family is getting into .22 shooting big time and I've been looking a scopes for the their .22's ,We don't want cheap ones or exspenive ones .HELP make ,model, powers .We shoot 25-100yds.

I shoot rimfires a lot, and even though it sounds ridiculous to hang a large power scope on a rifle that's really only acurate to around 100 yards, I do so because I can at least see where those tiny little bullets are landing on paper. I have a 6-24x42mm on my Savage Mk II.

Nikon and Bushnell seem to be good value for your dollar.

Bushnell Banner's or Bushnell 3200 series are good value. Make sure you get one with adjustable objective if it's not specified as a rimfire scope. Any hunting scope without an AO is designed to be parralax free at 100Y which means you get horrible parralax at the lesser ranges.

Define 'cheap' and 'expensive.' The BSA sweet 17 is comprable to the Bushnell banner, but has an AO in the smaller models (just TRY to find a scope smaller than 4-12 with and AO out there)

We looking to get 4 scopes .So the budget is not $200-$300 each.they are going on a CZ, MOSSBERG, NORINCO and RUGER . So we are looking at 4 powers and compact scopes .I've looked WAL-MART scopes are they any good? There is not a sporting goods store in area so would have to travel hour or more to a store.

I guess I might be a little old fashioned, but I prefer straight 4X scopes on my 22s. I currently have a Weaver Classic Rimfire 4X on my 10/22 and really like it. It's clear, bright, and designed for rimfire distances, and was just over $200 IIRC. They also make a 2X7 model, which would also be a good choice. Your budget allows for a good quality rimfire scope, so I would stick to known quality brand names.

Rimfire scopes

P P M the rimfire scope that Bushnell and Simmons make will suit your needs I prefer the 3-9 models myself and have several of them. These scopes retail in the $60.00 range and come with rings that easily attach to the dove tails on top of your rifles. FS

So where would be a good place to buy scopes ? SIR ,Russels sports, Wholesales Sports ,is there any spots on Vancouver Island? I went to Carpie Tire and they didn't have a scope and Wally world have some scopes but the varib ends on the scopes are big and on two so the .22's the bolts wouldn't open. Please just point in the right direction please. thanks
