Just curious what you guys and gals all do for organized events when you hold them. Bench shooting, prone, tactical, what? Looking at getting some matches going in my area, just looking for more ideas than those I have now, and what type of set-ups are the shooters using? Appreciate any input!

I'd like to see a smallbore silhoutte competition. Something that makes it more shooter and less equipment, unless I'm out to lunch on that hunch.

That would be fun too. I am building some plate racks just for .22 which will be fun. I'll have to cut out some pigs and chickens too.

I did the .22 silhoutte thing for a few years. It was a lot of fun and very satistfying to see improvement over a season. Still have a couple 5 pins someplace and they mean a lot more to me than any other trophies I've won.

Its a good sport in that there are a number of different categories for skill level and equipment. You can take your old gopher gun and have fun shooting 5out of 40 next to the guy that has a $5000 custom gun and shoots perfect scores.

Would like to get back into it or maybe pistol silhoutte one of these days.

A few years ago, the local club had 100 steel "gophers" made for rimfire sillouette matches. Over the first couple of years we had some fun matches. I haven't heard of any planned for this year unfortunately.
