I ordered a Volquartsen part for my SR-22 from Rimfire Sports website, and I was very disappointed to get a reply from the owner saying that my order had been cancelled as they no longer accept international orders.

Anyone know where else I can get Volquartsen parts?

Try:

Milarm Co LTD
10769-99 Street
Edmonton Alberta, Canada
T5H 4H6
780-424-5281 (phone)

They are listed as an international distributor for Volquartsen.

I contacted them a week or so ago about an Accurizing kit for a Ruger MK3 - 22/45 pistol and they had the kit in stock.

This might be your best bet.

Hope it helps.

Volquartsen has a dealer section on there site. There is another Canadian dealer but they don't have a web site. I found Milarm to be way off base price wise to have anything shipped.

I took a peek at brownells site and although I didn't read it all the page on international orders concerning the shipping of rifle parts looks very intimidating. Looks like it's a lot more work then it's worth.

You could always ask a fellow Gunnut in Edmonton to walk in store and buy it and ship it to you if Milarm charges to much for shipping ... offer them a double double of Tims!

And the money of course :D

Pretty sure Brownells is a safe choice so long as your gun parts are less than $100

It's worth it if no domestic retailers supply it. There is an excellent tutorial (sticky) in the Legalese forum on importing stuff from Brownells.

Basically, if the item you want is covered by U.S. export restrictions you need four documents:

-DSP 83 (application for U.S. export permit)
-End user certificate (self completed)
-International Import Certificate (obtained from Canadian government)
-Written order to Brownells (self completed)

Brownells will send you the forms as email attachments. You complete and fax the IIC form to the Canadian DFAIT. (I faxed it on Friday and got the approved certificate back as an email attachment on Monday.)

You send the ICC and other completed forms back to Brownells and that's it. I got my order in less than two weeks.

All of this is actually a lot easier than it sounds. The worst part is actually Brownells high shipping cost and the fact that you will probably have to pay customs duty when you pick up the parcel.

Volquartsen parts

Sylvestres Source for Sports in Bonnyville, Ab sells some volquartsen parts and are currently waiting for a large order to come in. They also sell the rifles themselves as they are an actual Canadian dealer. I have personally purchased five rifles from them. 780-826-4458.
