Rimfire Targets

Birchwood Casey make some nice targets:

A deck of playing cards and some coloured push pins or tacks at your local Dollar Store for just over 2 bucks.
Now you've got 52 (plus a joker or two) targets to have some fun with. Try and print some nice groups around the Ace or Kings etc, maybe try and shoot a group of 5 or 10 into those respective cards. Maybe compete with a friend or fellow shooting buddy.
I like the smaller childrens size cards better when I can find them. They look good if you want to perhaps frame them or keep with your shooting paraphanelia whatever
The push pins will always come in handy when the stapler some of you use either jams or happen to run out of staples.
Heck you can even try and hit the coloured tacks You can place a drop of something sweet on the tack that will attract a fly or other pesky insect and then try and pick it off. You'll be smiling when you pull that off- trust me.
Lots of fun and cheap with a rimfire.
You can select a number of cards to layout on a blank 8.5 x 11 piece of paper and then xerox to make your own multple targets. Use your imagination.
I know these are paper targets but just saying...

Check if they will let you shoot ice. 100% non-litering.

I went to a fun shoot down in the US and we brought a garbage can sized ice cube.

I have used:
Old keyboard<meh, did not blow up much, just holes
Old CD's/DVD's<cool, sparkly glitter effect
Old Nokia cellphones circa 1999/2000<shatter, good for one shot only but still cool
Water bottles<meh, so-so
A glow in the dark 5 pin bowling ball<BAD IDEA>sharp pieces flying everywhere. Don't know what I was thinking.
Maybe in the future, fruit or potatoes or veggies. I hate veggies:)

Beat me to it... In addition to ice cubes, I like to cut the tops off of pop cans (and other containers), fill with a mix of water and food-coloring and freeze them. Then it's just a matter of running the cans under some hot water to slide the ice out in one piece.

Zero clean up, awesome explosions and lots of giggling. What else could you want?

Hang some of those rubber softballs. Not the spongy type but the rubber kind they use in coed baseball. You can buy them in bright green and the'll hold up to quite a few rounds. Can't necessarily see the point of impact from far without a scope but you'll certainly know when you hit it.

Also can be used just like those flipping jack targets posted above....but cheaper.

I bought myself a set of rimfire silhouettes on eBay, and I bought my son a set of steel Zombie silhouettes also oFf eBay but the maker has a web site. W ww.thetargetguy.com

As I shoot mostly out in the country amongst some rolling hills, I shoot lots of different things. One of the best so far has been a brand new propane tank, empty of course!! It has been out with me 4 times and taken untold rounds of .22 as well as a bunch of 7.62x39. I can also get scraps of spring steel from a nearby shop. I drill two small holes to hang them from, quick paint job, and hang them from a 2x4 target tree with some black wire. You always know when you hit them and cheap like borcht!!
Cheers!!

Plastic, rubber and spray cans are all bad environmental choices and leave a hell of a mess. Birds and other animals eat the leftovers and choke on em or get it stuck in their guts.

Fruit is always a good choice. Go to the cheapo grocery store and get their rotting stuff at half-price or less.
