Hey guys...I know you can't have too many rimfires, but this past weekend I got to thinking about guns I'd wished I'd bought...but didn't. Happily, there aren't too many on that list but the 2 that haunt me a little are the Marlin 7000, and the ONE Taurus M62 I've seen on the EE and it disappeared within moments of being listed I think. Nice, case hardened receiver too...what a shame. :) There is no real shortage of rimfires in the collection as is, and I like and use everything I have. I guess it's just these 2 rifles that keep me looking in the EE every day and if you're a daily visitor to the EE, you know they're not common to see on there.

Anything on your list?

I wish I bought a Buckmark rifle when it was in stock at Grouse River.. :(
I can't find one anywhere now.

Yeah, the CZ full stock that was recently advertised on the EE. But when 2 pm's are sent and neither returned, I don't need it that badly.

There was an Ithaca x5 lightning that just passed through the EE...I only sent one PM.
Steering away from the EE rant-vibe...

Guns that I wished I'd bought include a full wood .22 trainer I could have picked up as a kid for 20 bucks. Sadly, a lack of interest from me at that time precluded even finding out what model it was...memory tells me it was single shot, and rear peep like a #4.

Guns I've sold, and wish I hadn't? 87D, Marlin 70, and Winchester 1890...

A gun I recently acquired, that was overlooked by a few was a MArlin 39A. It had 4 holes drilled in the barrel for an N3/N4 scope mount...found out afterward that Marlin themselves put those holes in it. They did it in '54, and '55. I'll bet a few folks are saddened for having turned their noses up at it...or at least would be if they knew!

I missed a drulov on EE by 2 minutes when my rpal in.. Was told that they are very few and far between, luckily tradex just got a few in

Walther PPK .22.....before 12.6 came.
Ruger sp 101 .22...also pre 12.6.

Of course back then all I cared about was a full size Beretta 92 FS, let the above 2 gems slip away...and now no 12.6!!

Bought a 1952 Brno #1 in 1989. best shooting 22 I ever owned, ripped holes with cheap scope all day long every time I shot it. The thing makes me want to sell all my others and try to find a better one. The closest Ive ever come was a savage heavy barrel. Anshults, Remy, Winchester, Ruger and Cz Ive owned, Ive sold em all, I love my Brno !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup. there are a few I wished I bought when they were still around...

Browning BAR 22 rifles. I buy them when I find them. Nice big semi-auto 22 that didn't seem to last long in the Browning line. They also made a 22 mag pump that looks like the BAR. I was given this gun by a friend in mint condition.

A number of years ago SIR ( I think it was) had a bunch of Winchester 52B's for half of what they were going for at the time, around $300 if memory serves me, I'm still kicking myself.
