Rimfiresports.com?

Got my stuff too. No problems and took about 10 days to be in my mailbox. When I get stuff from the U.S. I rarely get dinged for gst, but CanPost caught this package and I did have to pay tax.

...no export/import documentation for barrels or firearm parts over $100?

^^^ I'm in the same vote. The postal tracking number says the items arrived in Quebec in the 4th, hopfully they will arrive in Edmonton next week!

I contacted them by email the day after I put my order to make a change. They responded to let me know they made the change and included a tracking number. I've never ordered from them before so I don't know if they normally do it.

The number they provided was a US Customs Form number. The number works when I input it into the Canada Post online track system.

i ordered all my parts from rimfire, and i just ordered the KID 10/22 Match Trigger from hawktech and a few other things:) here is what it looks like today:)

I'm going to cry ... I've been waiting 8 months for a GM barrel ordered through a Canadian gunsmith. The particular barrel (18" fluted blued with fire sights) hadn't previously been exported from the US to Canada so GM is still working through the red-tape. Sigh... :runaway:

All's well that ends well...

Saw this thread, checked stock for item I was looking for at Rimfire, called my gunsmith, cancelled my order w/ full refund of deposit, ordered the barrel and expect to have it next week (not withstanding customs) for $100 less than originally planned. Woo hoo!

Is it common knowledge in Canada that items shipped via United States Postal Service end up being finally being delivered by Canada Post and that they may have to pick it up at Canada Post?

I recently had a Canadian customer accuse me of taking the money and running after I supplied them with date of shipment, method of shipment, and the US Customs Form number (which in this case can also be used as a tracking number). I would like to believe it is this one customer but lately it seems that a lot of Canadian custmers think that orders containing hundreds of dollars worth of firearm accessories is going to delivered like a letter.

I would like a response to this because I am seriously reconsidering the free shipping to Canada offer in light of this attack on me.

Hi Alan. Yes, parcels are delivered by Canada Post or need to be picked up at a Canada Post outlet if the package is too big. I've found that delivery normally takes about 10 days when ordering from Rimfire Sports.

I sure hope you continue to offer free delivery to Canada and don't let a couple of bad experiences ruin it for the vast majority of us.

Dont let a couple of aholes ruin it for the rest of us.I have just recently placed my first order with you and herd nothing but great service from you.
Welcome to cgn.

Don`t let one impatient idiot spoil it for all of us and make us all look bad. It doesnt matter what you ship and it can be to Can or to U.S..they are slow and the tracking numbers never even get updated most times until after the package arrives in most cases. And also if people honestly think they are not gonna get nailed on duty on everything they buy well they should think twice before ordering. Everything I get shipped into Canada I am prepared to pay duty taxes, if I don`t get nailed then its a bonus. I look forward to buying a barrel and scope mount from you soon:) and also welcome to CGN

You have far more very happy Canadian customers like us than those who have unrealistic expectations. I hope you value us enough to keep the current offer of free shipping to Canada.
