Anyone with experince. Any single shots ive used long term were all rimmed rounds. Id like to order a 35 whelen hinge barrel ideally but the extraction has me a bit concerned. The suspect rifle is a traditions g2 outfitter break barrel. I have a break barrel buckstalker muzzleloader from the same company and ive always said if they made a centerfire version id have to have one.

I have had dozens of rimless break barrel rifles on the H&R SB2 action and never had any extraction issues. I made many combo sets combining rimmed and rimless and shotshell chamberings with equally positive extraction.

Thank you. Ive never hadan issue but ive not had one long enough to prove either way

My 35 Whelen H&R handi-rifle extracts fine. I gave the chamber a good polishing when I first got it and have never had an issue with it.
Got a nice little white-tail with it last fall.

Working up loads that are a bit too hot in my Handi the extractor/spring ejector is under-powered to eject the case. Then a cleaning rod from the muzzle end is needed to remove it. Makes for a delayed follow-up shot.
