I used to hunt rabbits and squirrels alot and used a CZ varmint with great success, after a few years i decide to upgrade to a Sako quad and have never had the same success with it.
It is deffinately more accurate from a bench but not so from the hand for me.
Anyone else have a simular experience.
I'm very tempted to go back to a CZ but am reluctant to sell the Sako just because the varmint wood model I have is hard to get.

Yes I have. Had a CZ I couldn't shoot as well as my Savage...can't seem to shoot HMR as well as .22WMR. Not convinced that these hang-ups are the equipment though. :)

Not to sound like a broken record  , but the older Remington "500 series" full-size rimfires (512, 513, 550, etc., and "even" the later 552 and 572  ) are some of the sweetest shooting rifles I've ever handled....

That said :yingyang: , my "ready-to-grab" rimfire rifle will almost always be a Cooey 60/600......

Top Rimfires for me are, in oder of preference:
Remington 541S & T, Remington 581, CZ 452 American, Winchester 69a, Mossberg 42M, Mossberg 146b, Mossberg 151M.

couldnt hit the broad side of a barn at 50 yards with my Marlin 980 but went out and bought my current savage mark 2 BV and the thing is a tack driver at 100 yards :sniper:

I love my marllin Lever, and it is probably the more accurate gun, but I will almsot always grab my Cooey 60 for some reason ... it just "feels" right in my hands

used to have a lh 581 that fit like a glove. It was in near 100% cond. and shot pretty well. I got rid of it in a moment of weakness. My 10/22's do it for me know and they're more fun to tinker with.
