Both DPG & Modacam are doing extractor mods to the Rim X.
Horses for courses but I own B14R, Vudoo & Rim X - All bought for the variations on the 700 short action foot print.
I really can't see the need to attack a Rim X bolt like this but can understand why some of the PRS crowd would go this way!

I can certainly understand why gunsmiths are doing it - because now you have to buy barrels from them.
You got it!!!!! These mods sure aren't going to run without timed extractor slots in the tenon.

Every rimfire that I can think of with dual extractors like this, that go forward of the rim's boltface, require timed extractor grooves/cuts in the barrel. Vudoo, CZ457, RPR, etc.
Look at the breech end of a barrel for a SUHL
It looks like a cone with the chamber in the middle. The extractors do their job but the barrel can be positioned anywhere in the circle,,, used for timing barrels (action clamps the barrel in place, no threads)
Pretty sure IBI already uses this on some prefits.

Barrel can be indexed anywhere and the extractors will work. Just headspace the prefit barrel with a nut.

Suhl barrels don't use a coned breech. The source for your picture is a re-barreled Suhl 150. This particular aftermarket barrel has a coned breech.

Coned breeches are used by some shooters and they have the advantage of not requiring extractor cuts. Although few do it, coned breeched barrels may be indexed.
A big disadvantage of the coned breech is that it is at greater risk of becoming deformed by dry firing.
On another note! I recently purchased a new aluminum 15 round Vudoo mag. I know why theyre out of stock everywhere. THEYRE JUNK!!! I thought Jerry was a Vudoo hater but hes proven his point. He is correct on the feeding issues with these high priced mags. I bought a new Vudoo 360 after gifting my original one to a good shooting buddy. It functions very reliably with the factory 10 round polymer mags but the new 15 round Vudoo aluminum mag wont cycle unless sitting on a bag or held up bye hand. The latch is obviously not in the correct place. I have tried the barreled action in three different stocks/chassis. One is a McMillan U1 with Vudoo bottom metal, second was a Manners and third is a KRG Bravo. The 15 round mag wont function in any of the handles Ive tried. Sooooh as painfull as this is!! Jerry I have seen what youve spoken of. Its only believable when experienced first hand. My appologies for doubting you. High priced US JUNK

I guess all the engineers weren't able to resolve????

So $155.50 plus tax and shipping. $200 plus and loading five rounds wont make a difference. The latch that locks the mag in place is not in the correct position. Hence my trying it in three different handles. Its a poorly designed product that has FUXKED many people out of their hard earned dollars. The worst part is they dont give a sXXt. The mag in your video has an adjustable mag catch. WOW why didnt the original ones have that. Why is it Ive had 15 different polymer ten shot mags with no malfunctions but buy the high priced aluminum mag and theyre recommending only 12. Well I can load two and it wont function. USA JUNK If I had more time Id drive there and get them to give me a coffee and spill it on myself and sue them for three million haha.
Thankfully, I've not seen the Vudoo 15 round mags for sale down this way - More than happy with the ten plastic mags I have - All have worked faultlessly in three actions with a round count of over 15k.
Rim X mags are IMO what a decent mag should be - Have never had an issue of any kind with mine though latch adjustment height is critical. Shame about the cost though:

I have a 5 round aluminum magazine, and it does function flawlessly, so it's not a case of aluminum vs plastic.
