'Rinco Coach Gun Question

Just picked up a sxs Norinco (exposed hammer) Coach gun for a friend, and noticed something I had never seen before. The barrel is only inscribed with 3". There's no, 2 3/4 and 3", as I am used to seeing..........just 3".
This may seem like a dumb question (sorry, the CF doesn't use too many coach guns ) but does this mean you should only use 3" or is it implied that both 2 3/4 and 3" may be used?

With shotguns, the shell length is the maximum shell length, so in this case, 3" or shorter is fine.

I bought one a couple years ago. I really like it it has been a good gun. The only thing I don't like is no screw in chokes but I new that when I brought it home.For the price you can't go wrong.

Check out the hammers for the sharp edges the Norinco folks leave there, designed to lay open your thumb and cause bleeding and pain during the first CAS match you shoot with it.
Ask me how I know.
A fine file and a stone will defeat their nefarious trap however.

For something like about 80 bucks a tube, a good gunsmith will thread 'em for ya.
