Ring height 77/44

My 77/44 came with a cheap scope mounted but the bolt almost hits the scope. Any ring/scope/illuminated scope reccommendations for under 100yds? Thx..

Trigicon RMR or alike, you can get a mount plate for ruger
This is what I have done on mine.

I used to have a 77/357, with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 with the standard rings, and yes, the bolt came pretty darn close to the eye piece on that scope. I suggest looking at the Leupold VX-Freedom 1.4-4x20. The eye piece on the 1" Freedoms is pretty slim compared to other current scopes I've had. I think you'd have a bit more clearance with the bolt using the low powered Freedom.

Otherwise, maybe just get higher rings. Ruger makes them, or you could get the Alaska Arms QD rings.

Leupold FX-II 2.5x20mm in factory low Ruger rings. Or Aimpoint H30L in 30mm Ruger rings.
