Ring height question

Looking to get some tally one piece rings how do I know what height to get. Mounting a Nikon prostaff 3 x 9 x 40 on a savage model 11. I'd like to stay as low as possible.

There are usually spec sheets and tables on the manufacturers site so you can choose the height you need based upon the height of the large end of the scope plus a small margin to clear the barrel
