Ring Height

I've got a Savage 12LRPV that I bought a Sightron 8-32x56 and a 20MOA EGW base for. Does anyone know if I can I get away with Warne medium height rings? The height of them is .375".

Med. rings sounds correct but it really depends on where Warne measures the .375". ie. base to bottom of ring or base to center of ring(centerline of scope tube)

I have a similar set up with a 110 and 6x25x56 and Millett high tactical rings are too high by 5/8".
Also most 56mm flip type lens covers add 1/8" to the lens shade/scope obj.

May try doing the math (measure top of EGW MOA base to ring center)That is centerline of scope when mounted. Then add back 1/2 of 56mm +flip len cover. If that calculated measurement will clear the barrel by 1/8" when you measure that distance on the actual rifle you're probably ok.

Be sure your inclined MOA base is slanting towards the muzzle. But Im sure you already know that, just covering the bases.

This would help if I knew the dimensions on the base. It is in transit.

Rings .375" from top of base to bottom of scope tube
Rings 1" Warne. 1/2 of 1" = .5 is center of scope tube if it's a 1" tube
56mm obj=2.2047/2= 1.102". This is C/L on Obj.

.375+.5=.875" This is C/L height of scope tube
.875-1.102= -.227" This is lower (6oclock) edge of Obj.

So if the Pickatinney 20MOA base is higher than about a quarter inch (.250 )you should be good.

Also Im sure there is receiver height and barrel contour that will further help clearance.
