So here is what I have for my build. I would be interested on recommendations to mount my scope

Remington 700 5R in 308, HS Precision Stock
Vortex PST 6-24x50 SFP

The best rings I have found are Badger Ordinance pricey but top quality serialized, and no need to lap these rings .

I have owned Leupold MK4, TPS, and Badger rings..............

Personally I currently use and prefer Badger Maximized alloy rings....................but for the price/quality, you can't beat TPS................

I've used Burris XTR on 2 rifles. Good quality and reasonable price.
A buddy uses Vortex Tactical 30's with his Viper PST 4-16 and they perform well too.

One piece leupold base with dual dove tail rings. But I have to admit, as much as I like leupold, there base screws have been kind'a soft these last several years and can break the heads off. So I really like the dual dove tail rings and bases, but maybe someone other than Leupold for base screws, sorry to have to say it.

I like the burris signature rings because thehy have a self centering gimbal that makes it impossible to mar or bend the scope, like the Sako optilock. Best design there is IMO

I like the Night force Ultra-lites, really nicely made.

Part of the choice is also esthetics, as there's definitely quite a few manufacturers of good rings and bases.
The Vortex matched precision rings(Seekins) have a pretty sleek profile.

EGW makes anice set and they are reasonably priced. i also like Talley rings if you want something on the higher end of budget and they do not require lapping as they are machined from one piece of material. i have a set of the vortex rings and they have worked well but they are on the heavy side and every bit adds up.
