Rings+Bases, what are you guys using?

Nothing but Burris Signatures go on my rifles.

Last set, I went with Leupold steel versions of Weaver bases...Weaver Grand Slam steel would have been fine, too, if I could have found them anywhere.

I like Conetrol for the smooth look, no projections, screws etc, when done they look like a part of the scope, having said that you may need some counseling after installing a set of rings. --- John303.

Rings and Bases

I run Near piccy rails on all my guns and either badger, nightforce or burris XTR rings so far. My next rings will also be from Near mfg. and I am currently awaiting a scope to have them build me a SA Alphahunter mount. You have to check out these sleek one piece mounts, they are litterally a work of art! It will be going on a Remington hunting rifle build I have in the works.

7-08 Hunting Rifle

Here's some pictures of my rifle I just finished up. the mount is a Near Manufacturing "AlphaHunter" one piece mount and I cannot say enough about it. It's a true work of art.

All in all it's a stock Rem 700 SPS stainless with 2lb timney trigger, HS bottom metal, McMillan Edge ultralight Olive stock, Near alphamount and Nightforce 2.5-10x32mm scope with NP-R2 reticle.

Can't wait to get her shooting!

I am using Leupold STD extension rings and Burris bases on my 1991 Savage. It was the only way/ combo I could get the Leupold scope on the gun.

I have Optilok rings on my Tikka and given a choice I would use the Optilok every time
