Hey fellas anyone with experience here, I am wondering about a good fit for rings on the kimber bases for the 84m what will work well..............
Thanks
The Talley one piece is a nice setup, but the factory bases with Leupold rings is a nice conventional setup also, I have used both. The Talley's are lighter in weight and sleeker.

The Kimber bases are set up to take the Leupold standard rings or anything else that is compatible.
Can't go wrong with the Leup rings.
Is your Montana a WSM?
If it is make sure you order the standard bases action and not the short action. SIR also offers Kimber Duel Dovetail's in their catalog but the are mistaken. They are actually standard with the rear windage screws.
I just bought an 84M Kimber Longmaster Classic in .308. Put the Kimber bases and Leupold dual dovetail rings. I have a Leupold VX11 6 - 18 scope. Nice fit. Rifle is shooting fairly consitent 1/2" groups @ 100M
K22/84M Scope Base Set PN# 1000520
Leupold STD Medium Rings (.770) # 49901)
I believe there is a leupold base set available which is much cheaper than the Kimber bases.

it is actually a .308 Booner I like the leups too and was actually unsure if the tallys would work anyone know the model number for the proper tallys and where to find them? They are not the same as the m700 ones are they?
