rings for Savage Mark II / Leupold VX1 2x7-28mm rimfire combination?

Got myself a Savage Mark II, grooved receiver....... and have a Leupold VX1 2x7-28mm rimfire scope coming very shortly here..... and would like to know what rings I should be looking for in 3/8" dovetails..... To make the scope not too high..... Not too low... But just right.

Would like Leupold ring or possibly Burris in a matte finish

Nice choise of a scope!! I am presently considering that exact same scope for my new .22. My preference for rings would be the Burris. I have quite a few sets on various riffles and are really satisfied with them.....Ken

same here, also have had good luck with Leupold rimfire rings. You'll need medium, not sure if low is an option with rf rings in these brands. If you go Burris, try to find some of the Signature rimfire rings with the inserts- they rock and worth every penny.
