To prevent scope ring marks what do you think of this product https://www.highpoweroptics.com/ringtrue™-tape-three-scopes-p-24944.html I know rings lapping, good quality rings and base will prevent marks but tape is a viable alternative?

I've been using white Teflon T-Tape for many years with excellent results. It's a little tricky to get in place while mounting a scope as it doesn't stick but it compresses easily. I've never had a scope get ring marks or move using this and I've never lapped scope rings.
This ring true tape would probably be even better.
