RIP - Newfoundlander

I am sorry to report that Glenn Banfield ("Newfoundlander") passed away last week after a lengthy illness. I heard this yesterday by email from his wife Susy.

I am posting here, because Milsurps were his passion, and that was how I think most CGNers would have known him. He didn't post much here (but was quite active on other boards and internationally), but was active in sales on CGN, and I suspect that, like with me, he was quite helpful off-line to our guys. I did a few deals with him, and interacted quite a bit on Milsurps and found him to be one of the most cheerful, helpful and generous guys I ever met.

A big loss to the community.

Wow, that sucks! Seems like the pool of milsurpers is getting shallower by the day. I had a few deals with him myself & he was always good to deal with. RIP Glenn.
