Nosler book does not list this powder for these 2 bullet weights when using RL19.

Do you have a manual that list RL19 in these 2 bullet weights ?

I tried Hodgdon reloading website, but does not list RL powders.

From my Lyman 49th Edition manual:

180 gr Sierra Jacketed SBT 3.280" COAL and Reloder 19 powder:

52.0 gr @ 2469 fps and 41,200 CUP minimum
58.3 gr @ 2698 fps and 48,800 CUP maximum (compressed load)

165 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip 3.285" COAL and Reloder 19 powder:

54.5 gr @ 2464 fps and 37,600 PSI minimum
60.4 gr @ 2816 fps and 53,300 PSI maximum

Test components:
Winchester brass, large rifle primer, 24" test barrel.

My Speer 14th edition shows:

165 gr Speer Spitz BTSP, SP and Grand Slam SP (3.250" for the BTSP/SP, 3.165" for the GS) and Reloder 19:

55.0 gr @ 2351 fps minimum
59.0 gr @ 2614 fps maximum (compressed)

180 gr Speer RNSP, Spitz BTSP and SP, Mag Tip SP, Grand Slam SP (3.130" for the RNSP, 3.250" for the Spitz BTSP, and 3.160" for the rest) and Reloder 19:

55.0 gr @ 2458 fps minimum
59.0 gr @ 2640 gps maximum (compressed)

Again, using Winchester brass, large rifle primer, but 22" test barrel.

My Hornady 8th Edition shows only 180 gr loads using Reloder 19:

AMAX 3.220", BTHP 3.220", Interbond 3.210", SST 3.220", SP 3.225", BTSP 3.225" and RN 3.210":

51.1gr @ 2300 FPS, 53.2 @ 2400 FPS, 55.3 @ 2500 FPS, 57.4 @ 2600 FPS and 59.6 @ 2700 FPS red zone.

Hornady/Frontier brass, 23 1/4" test barrel, large rifle primer.

P.S. Alliant Powder has a load data section, and a quick preview showed a 165gr RL 19 load!

RL19 powder

If you want a good powder for Target shooting & shorter range hunting load RL19 is very good and was accurate as hell,
but with max load over 60g speed is poor compared to other powders available for the 30.06.
here is a RESULTS OF A TEST I did last fall. Rem 700 22" barrel hope it may be of help to you

Try the alliant Website.

I have had great luck with Reloder 15 and 22, but never ended up using Re19 in anything as a final load.

In the 30-06 I always had my best luck with H4350.

Thanks again, CGN simply rocks for getting information like this.

I may pick up a can of rl22 in the future. Anyone have experience with rl19 in the 7mm08? My nosler manual , #6, lists the loads for that cartridge, but test barrel was 26" and my rifle sports a 20" barrel.
