Well just got a M14S 2007,no mods as is from Norinco .Put a standard US fiberglass stock on it,holes not filled in and took it to the range .200 rds 7.62 later still ticking. Fifty yds one inch group iron sites.Ioo yds three inch group. figure 11 targets at 200 three hundred yds dead. For the money this one hell of a rifle.
No complaints at all.looking for another payday

I agree! I bought mine used and it came with a crate with hundreds of dirty old fmj's. Those grouped decent, then I went to my hunting rounds, and at 100 yds I'm lucky if the groups are more than an inch and a half apart. Some of my scoped rifles can't even do that.

be sure and read the stickies re mounting a fiberglas stock- esp the popscile mod- otherwise you'll run into trouble with pin being too short- this won't show until you've run several hundred rounds through

What Pin do you mean? After 200 rds can not see any mods to be done maybe fill in the stock to prevent dirt from getting into the action.

at the front end of the reciever, right hand side, there is a little pin, it holds the oprod guide in place. with a standard Ninjawood stock that is held captive, but with a USGI stock it is not.
see the sticky'd threads at the top of the battle rifles section for a tutorial on how to do it.. its very easy

Mine was out after 12 rds. Spring guide moved and I was having trouble seating mags. Scratched the hell out of one of my mags before I figured out what the problem was.
