I found a beauty of a freshly killed cow elk on the island once.

No visible damage at all.

I think it was a head shot with a Kenworth or Hayes.

Yup, and it is no coincidence that the majority of the road kills happen to be occurring where land is being developed for condos so there is no hunting in those areas anymore.

Also I noticed down on the highway to Victoria that the Highways department has decorated the scrub land between the roads with nice tasty wild flowers...saw two dead fauns (still with spotted coats) on the side of the road in that area.

do you have a season for fauns now? What's the bag limit?
