Wow - after waiting a year for the XCR I finally broke down and spent my money on an AR-15, convinced that the new rifle would be released immediately afterwards. Now another year has passed! It's hard to believe I've been reading the same words "Rifles are almost ready to ship" for almost two years!

I realize there are always delays with a new design, but their perpetual imminent release has been like a ride on the ridiculous train. It seems like from the time at which XCR release was 'right around the corner', the R22 was concieved, designed, tested, produced, and in my gun locker with time to spare.

Oh well, I'm still eager to get my sweaty hands on one of these.

NEWS

13 February 2006
. The XCR™ was shown in Las Vegas during the Shot Show. We were told that it was the most exciting thing at the Show.

We finally received our test ammunition from Remington so we can finalize the 6.8 conversion kit.

Was talking with them at Shot apparently he has been downright ####ed by one and jacked around by another of his sub contractors.

Welcome to the world of contract manufacturing...

Is that why only a handfull of R22 work?

Haha - could be. I was one of the lucky ones who hasn't had a problem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not peeved that it has taken this long or that they are working out all the bugs before going to market, I'm more irritated by the constant 'almost ready' messages. They were supposed to be shipped over a year ago! A better message would be "we've run into production / supply problems, we hope to have them worked out as soon as possible but our release is delayed until further notice".

Oh well, mostly I'm just belly-aching because I'm eager to get my hands on one and I'm getting impatient. I want an unrestricted black rifle and none of the current crop are quite doing it for me.

This looks like a really nice rifle and I would love to buy one in 7.62 M43. So besides its non-restrictedness, what's this rifle got going for it?

Edit: I watched the video of him switching calibres and was that ever fast.

Oh, how much is this thing supposed to go for? I realize it's not out yet but are there any rough estimates?

I was impressed with XCR I handled at Shot Show that was up till I noticed how you adjusted the gas system:eek:.I would have thought a little more effort could have gone in to the system for as long as it has taken them to get it into production

The XCR's are shipping!!! They'll trickle out slowly at first and be delivered in larger quantities over the next two months. We greatly appreciate the patience of those who have waited for this product.

We are the only U.S. owned manufacturer which makes new and innovative rifles of this type. This takes a little longer, but is more than worth the wait.
