Robarms M96 butt pad is slippery

Any ideas on what I can add to the butt pad? It's hard molded plastic and perhaps some sort of butt pad would work? Any ideas? and no I don't just want to throw some skateboard tape on it and call it a day.

Pull it off spray it with a ruberized coating and re-attach?

Grind the surface, epoxy a quality 3/8 to 1/2 inch pad

Totally off topic, but is it me or is the hole drilled for the rear sight aperture not centered?
