Robarms XCR FAQ post

I wish mine was that purdy, it looks like its been strapped to the quad rack and mud bogged, fallen off said quad while riding down gravel roads, banged around on the floor of the truck, dropped numerous times and its got sap on it.

Why is the 223 100 bucks cheaper than the 6.8 and 7.62 (Wolverine price)?
The barrel kits are all the same price so why the rifles aren't?

My plan is to get both 223 and 7.62 barrel so best price is 223 rifle and 7.62 barrel kit.

And thats how it should look!!! Any notches in the grip?

Very nice set up. I will post mine later when I get home.:)

Pic as promised. I just finished her today, by adding the Miad. She is done, other then a 3x Eotech magnifier, which I will have to save up for. She feels right and tight.:D

Very nice Z. Does that NEA stock adapter lock up very solid? I like how it doesn't interrupt the flow of the rifle.

It's really well made and close tight... I love it and it's way easier to transport in his bag, having in mind it's a non-restricted rifle...

Only think I had to modify, and it's pretty personnal, is the sound of the stock closing... It does a little metal on metal "Klang" sound, that I wanted to get rid of.

I've added a little black electrical tape that I cut and put on the bottom part of the adapter (Half-moon shape)... It now close perfectly with a nice and quiet "Ftooumb" sound. When the stock is closed you don't see the tape and when it's open, you almost don't see it if nobody tells you about it...

Here's what it looks like:

Zreturns--crazy nice elcan$$$$$.....I am jelous.
And thnks ccw.

I had a nice deal at CRAFM (one of CGN's partners). Got a great price and I like the clarity of the optics...

I've tried it yesterday on a rainy day, and even then, I had a CLEAR view of my target which was at 200 meters away.
The construction of the optic is unbelievable... It is and feels rock solid. It looks way tougher than my Eotech 512 or Aimpoint M4s...

Seriously, if you can save money on a good optics, it's the best bet... I've hesitated between this and an ACOG 4X and i've went with the Elcan for the price (1000$)...

thats what i wanted to see z.
I love having a folding stock for transport. (those f*ckin factory cases don't give you an extra inch of room!) but hate the wobble. looks like it adds about an inch of pull to the stock ? thank god. haha.
but i've also got my eye on the magpul ubr stock.... (yeah, i'll try to avoid the kool-aid, but d*mn it's tasty)
has anyone changed out their flash hider with success?

The Magpul UBR stock is alsooooo "uber" ###y! :p
Everything depends on what you prefer...

Have a look at this thread on the xcrforum:

I just received my new stock adapter and I thought I would share some pics on it.

This is the new adapter and Magpul UBR stock in comparison to the factory stock.

They are about the same length but the UBR and adapter is much heavier. The adapter is definitely beefy and solidly built.

I put the rifle together and it is coming together nicely. I put a Magpul MIAD and XTM rail covers on the rifle. She balances out quite nicely and is definitely less muzzle heavy.
The cheekweld is much better to the sights and the rifle; while heavier, it definitely feels more balanced.

I got a refund on my folding adaptor because there was too much wobble to my taste. My reference of a tight folder being Butler Creek mini-14 stock.

I prefer a flash-hider over muzzle-brake. I got my barrel threaded by Jeff at Valley Gunsmithing. Now sporting a Vortex.

tight folder....a butler creek ??? haha i had one for a 870, and it wobbled so bad well, it just wobbled, i don't even have an analogy.

the factory flash hider/whateverthe****itis/abortion is so terrible that i find myself apologizing to people at the range way to much...

oh and Z, its going to be a while till you see those pictures, a frankenstien homebuilt bass has captured my project fund, interest and time...

Bass, like "Home Theater" bass?
like bass guitar. haha

also... just saw how much those elcans go for! the coffee has not left my lungs and nostrils yet. how well does the BDC work with the 18.6 barrel?

also quick question to keep the FAQ on track :
I've noticed my bolt sticks/binds half through the cycle if I ride the charging handle.
I don't do this often, but I generally release the bolt slowly on an empty chamber. I don't recall it doing this before the 200 rounds of break-in. any suggestions? its well oiled, my extractor is tight.
