Robarms XCR FAQ post

I tested all my LAR-15 Magazine BEFORE doing the modification to the springs and they all clicked in when fully loaded on a close bolt... Just had to push a little bit to make them clip...

Tried to take out one coil of spring on one LAR-15 magazine... It eased it but not enough as I thought... I still have to push it in the magwel with a little bang from under... :p

Then cut off a little more I did...

I just bought a used XCR and I'm wondering if there is anyone in Canada that makes
or can get an M4 folding stock adapter like the on RA sells?

Contact Wolverine they may have one from NEA.

Hello Everyone,

I think i've read of someone in the past indicate that the 7.62 barrel is noticeably lighter than the 223. This makes sense, since both barrels have identical profiles, while the 7.62 barrel must obviously have 2.06mm's more bored out of it.

Does anyone have experience with both barrels? is their a noticeable weight reduction?

Thanks for your time,

Hey guys, I'm looking to replace the grip on my 7.62 XCR. I was wondering if they are the same grips as the AR rifles? A friend has an ERGO grip on his AR that I like the feel of, and it looks like the grip would fit on the XCR but I wanted to be sure before I bought one.

Thanks

Yes, you are good to go on AR grips

My XCR requires some strong exertion to get an AR grip on it, but once on it won't budge unless you want it too. Its probably a tiny bit overspec, but that's the preferred option.

Anyone having issues with the 7.62 XCR?

I had possibly 4 separate issues recently:

1.) Fail to Feed. I think this is because I wasn't smacking the magazines in. Release the bolt, no round gets chambered.

2.) Fail to Feed. Using the 7.62 XCR pistol mags, with 10 rds, with 5 rds, with 3 rds. Had 5-6 failures - Also the first time I was shooting in sub zero temperatures. The previous round ejected, and when the bolt was sliding back the next round only partially made it out of the magazine, or made it all the way out but wasn't chambered and the bolt was jammed open. Major PIA when hunting beer bottles.

3.) Fail to Fire - First time I've had this issue. Happened 2-3 times, same day I was having the Fail to Feed problems in the sub zero temperatures

Anyone experience similar?

4.) Experienced the loose barrel bolt issue. Took a while to figure out what was going on haha Will try the locktite etc...

5.) The stock grip rattled loose. I added locktite and torqued 'er up. Kind of disappointing that everything is rattling to bits though...

Iam no expert but the fail to fire and feed sounds like too much lube for sub zero temps. I use a thin layer of synthetic lube that dries to the touch but remains slick. Minus 25 today and no problems (mines a .223)

I hate my trigger do I have any options ?

I can't stand the trigger (I believe I have the enhanced) It is very inconsistent. To be fair to the rifle I have never liked two stage triggers. I read on xcrforum that they offered a single stage trigger at 3.5lbs but Wolverine informs me that was discontinued. Do I have other options? Or am I stuck with it.

I've got the new trigger and it's great, I've heard the old trigger sucked. I'd try working on my tecnique with it and see if you notice an improvement. Mind you these aren't lazers.

Have your trigger worked. I did my own trigger and it's amazing. I have about .013" of very light creep in the first stage of maybe 4oz, then as the second spring comes into play it breaks very crisp at about 1.2lb. She's a thing of beauty, thousands of rounds, nasty conditions and flawless.

Yes I do...

Going to try it with my 6.8SPC upper installed loaded with 95gr TTSX this year as well...

Holy schit you need some of the LAR 15 10 round pistol mags those 5 rounder mags just aren't cool or fun... :p

They would be a no-go for hunting with the XCR in Ontario (5 Round Semi-Auto Max). Now that being said I do have the LAR 15 10 Round magazines for hunting with my Remington 7615 :).

Regards,

Chizzy
