Robarms XCR FAQ post

You want to use it for precision? Say what...;)

My opinion is, the FAST stock is not conducive to precision work. We'll leave all the other XCR accuracy jokes out of it.
Look at the lock up on other folding chassis or stocks that are built for precision. My AICS is 100% solid, without seeing the hinge you'd never know it folds. RA hasn't even come close to achieving the same. Which is fine because the rifle wasn't built for precision either.
This is all just my own opinion based on my own experience.

You'll do well swapping to a PRS or the like.

Edit to add:
I found my L to be a different rifle after swapping to Dlask/Magpul. I've got a CTR w/riser that I've custom mounted. The riser is canted slightly to the right. When I'm doing my mall ninjary, that stock is part of my face. I never had that with the FAST, it was more like what you're going through where I was getting slapped.

Good to know. Yea, I know people joke about XCR accuracy but there is proof out there they are capable of sub-moa groupings (especially the newest ones). Most people just use a 4x scope and poor shooting skills and say "this is only capable of..." so I honestly never believe peoples opinions on accuracy capabilities unless the test was done by a person with precision shooting skills. We will see though. I am trying to combine a hunting rifle, tactical style rifle, and precision rifle into one without spending 5k. Only time at the range will tell :) I think the stock on the xcr is a bit thin and that's why it can be a tad painful to shoot with your cheek pressed onto it. I snugged up the folding mechanism myself, and yes it does have some play. You are right though, I will probably switch to a different kind of stock down the road.

if you adjust the allen on the stock were it fold you can have it with a tighter fit , mine don't wobble

Received my upgraded XCRM today from wolverine and tested it @100m with my hand loads(sight it in with 10 rnds of PMC then 2x4 rnds grouping, varget and H335, ran out of my hand loads but will do up other batch for some 10 rnds grouping test next weekend). It's pretty wet day and getting dark soon(5pm PST )
I am pretty happy with the result overall :) Big Thanks Tyson and Dave:50cal::50cal::50cal:

does .223 in an XCR L = .556? I just saw a post for one that apparently had a confirmed chamber for .223 wylde and as we all know all three are different.... can you shoot .556 out of a .223 in an XCR?

My L in 6.8 shoots 0.9 moa with handloads, my M's groups are just a little larger than yours, but I haven't put much time into it.

Can someone explain the keymod system to me? What is it exactly? Won't I still need a picatinny rail underneath if I want to mount a foregrip?

Wow I can only hope mine turns out as well as yours! Looks great!

Wolverine will make it right for sure and I was shooting it with bipod and sandbag at the rear. The result might improve if I test it out on a shooting vise but I don't have one. Please post/share your result once you have a chance to test out your upgraded XCRM

Older gens were marked 223 for export reasons.. I think the new one's are actually stamped 556 but I cancheck mine. Yes RA has stated before 556 in their 233 is fine, and can be said for many modern semi automatics BUT they are different and have higher pressures in 556. Always check with the manufacturer.

EDIT: Checked, new keymods are stamped 5.56 NATO.

Tighten the folding stock if the play bothers you. The .223 XCRs have a .223 Wylde chamber that was designed to safely shoot both SAAMI and Nato spec ammo. Both will work just fine. As for accuracy, I just bought my 3rd XCR so I'm no RA expert but the newer revision L's can do quite well under the right conditions. Jo Schmo who can't shoot for chit leaning over the hood of his truck shooting the cheapest ammo he can find with irons or a red dot might tell you its a 4+moa rifle and because he could never do better he won't let you speak of respectable accuracy from an XCR. My 2012 .223 shot 1.25 moa with handloads and a scope. My 2008 that was originally X39 converted to .223 and looser than a rental gun shot 4-6" with handloads. A good example can shoot. A bad one can't. But if you can't shoot and won't invest in quality ammo, well, you get out what you put in. Hopefully the new one is a gooder.

Hello XCR owners, :p I know I have an ACR and probably not welcomed here  but its in 7.62x39 and hoping one of you that lives in Victoria would lend me 4 Pistol mags until I can find some or Wolverine gets their shipment.

As it stands right now I have a gun with no way to feed it... :)

Laugh2

No way to feed it! Well that's not acceptable... even for an acr:)

Come to the mainland, or send me your address and I'll mail em.
