I've been trying to find a used barrel for a long while, just not willing to pay the asking price for new.

I asked the poster about it.
A little google-fu later, I found out that username "Mountainman" on the American "XCR forum" was the guy who made them. I sent him a pm a couple days ago, still waiting on response. His last post was a couple years ago, so not hopeful he will get back to me.
They'd sell like hot cakes, I know!

Lurker here, thinking about getting an XCR as one of my first guns.
I really like the look of the competition length handguard, and if I get one, I like the idea of the longer sight radius until I upgrade it to an optic of some sort...
I prefer to shoot with a slightly more squared up stance, but the problem is I'm a pretty short guy at 5'8" and an arm span of about 68" (bow draw length of 27" if that helps). I'm wondering if I would be better off with the standard handguard length if I'm unable to actually utilize the length of the competition handguard with an extended grip. I also prefer a 12" LOP for stocks.
Any other manlet short guys out there own competition XCRs and have some input for me? Pictures of people holding it would be nice, I want to see how much of it would go to waste.

I tried the competition. Too long/forward heavy. (For me) I see from the EE that they are harder to resell, the ads seem to linger.
The normal one is a nicer fit; save the effort and go straight to the keymod version for weight and balance. They sell fast.
I use a Dlask M4 adapter to get a buffer tube on there, so you can customize your LOP. There are a few makes out there. I have one with QD points too.

Need more details. Keymod regular version or keymod comp length? Check the screw that holds the deflector in place. When that screw is torqued in too tight the end of the screw actually sticks into the reciver too far and it will get brass caught up in there.
Maybe a business opportunity for Dlask? I agree, they'd sell for sure if the stock adapter is any indication.

Just waiting on optics and an ATRS muzzle brake. Perhaps, with the folding charging handle, XCR Nirvana will be attained

- Why is so hard to get caliber conversion ?
- Do you guys think at 799$ for a 7.62x39 conversion kit it is worth it?
- Any news of that guy who make the side charging handle i need that in my life !

556 and 762x39 are super common calibers you can buy in bulk for pretty cheap.
$800 for a conversion kit is pricy but it opens up a whole new venue of calibers. I'm hoping to pick up a. 300blk battle to go with my 556 and x39

what accuracy you have with the 5.56? and 7.62?
It will be much more front heavy and not comfortable, my draw length is 28 and I'm 5'10. I prefer my standard length. Also there will be low profile gas blocks in this generation and I've not see barrels for these conversions yet.

These are the best to go with.
I think they are worth it, but they are also a tough pill to swallow. You'll save on space in the safe, as long as you are happy with the platform. I dove deep and don't regret it with the keymods (XCR-L with 556, 7.62x39, 6.8, 300blk across two uppers and XCR-M in 308). I sold my gen 1 years ago, for being too heavy.
I've asked about pricing on barrels and XCR-M, I find it really hard to stomach $900 for just a barrel for XCR-M 243 or 260. Wolverine Supplies said they were / would check with Alex, but I've not heard about any changes in pricing.
