Hey guys,

I am looking into the XCR rifles and the question I have is has any one had a custom barrel done for there XCR, it would be really nice to have a 20" match barrel on the XCR-M and a 18" light profile barrel for the XCR-L to reduce the front weight but as far as I can tell these options dont exist from factory, and I have not seen any custom barrels in the thread. I would also like to explore the 300 Blk round.

Thanks

The XCR-M comes in 16", 18.6", and 20" barrel lengths. Wolverine won't bring in the 16" barrels for fear of putting the NR status in jeopardy, but the 18.6" and 20" barrels are ok. If I am not mistaken they are just bringing in the 18.6" version, but if you contact them and request the 20" barrel, they will bring it in. It'd be about a 3-4 month wait for it probably.

The only barrels being brought in for the XCR-L are the 18.6" barrels, also to protect the NR status. So you will be forced to have the barrel cut to the legal minimum of 18" like you indicated. You would also have to have the barrel turned down to a lighter profile until pencil barrels show up...or order them special if they are even offered.

RobArms is currently having issues with the blackout round, but hopefully they'll get it figured out eventually.

Would they bring in the 5.45mm barrel too?

The US gov gets their panties in a bunch when it comes to exporting firearms chambered in military calibres. Often, a firearm will be chambered for 5.56x45 but stamped 223 to circumvent this, or 7.62x51 stamped 308. Since the 5.45 is a military cartridge, exporting a barrel for it from the US would prove to be tricky unless a sporting equivelant (in the eyes of the US gov) exists.

I wouldn't waste your time (and probably a whole bunch of extra money) on a 20" bbl. Your velocity drop between 20" and 18.6" is practically nothing and you're getting damn near 100% powder consumption. Stick with the compact 18.6 ;)

And yet they get the 7.62x39 out.

Hi there:
I know Dlask was making a few stainless barrels a while ago because I have one, it is very nice but it is 14.5" so if you are curious about changing it up I would start with them maybe??
