I don's see any reason why it would not as the barrels and pistons are the same no matter which version of the XCR-L you have.

Good hunting round though. Keep your XCR-L in 5.56 for plinking and varmints most of the year. Swap your barrel and piston for hunting season and you've got a great lightweight semi-automatic hunting rifle that you have a lot of practice with.
