Robinson Arms XCR in 223 ???

At the risk of sounding like a fool, i was under the impression that the XCR was a restricted firearm, and his one of the OP's main points was that he wanted a predator rifle. I really hope I am wrong as the XCR does look to be a nice AR.
 
The only reason I am looking at these kinds of rifles is because they are non-restricted the main use for me will be predator/varmint hunting/shooting range work will only be to work up a load, sight in a scope and figure out tragectories for the different distances.

I may try a 3 gun competition now and then just too show you guys how its done... :p
 
and you admit it on a forum that thinks anyone that is a firearms owner and still votes Lieberal is a *^&%^$$%^&#...
 
Brave guy admitting that your a Lib here severus! To the OP; I have an XCR 223 with a x39 kit on the way, I do find it front heavy but that can be cured with some machine work down the road. I only have a few hundred rounds thru mine but I do love it and recommend buying one before the Libs get elected again and try to prohibit them.

I would buy the XCR in a heartbeat but I am waiting for the 7.62 x 51 version. Not sure which one to buy:

NDP Version: Costs depends on how much you make.

Liberal Version: Pink, no magazine well, and trys to run away and self destruct.

Conservative Version: 100 rd mag, select fire; ideal to protect yourself from "them".

Is this 7.62X51/308 conversion supposed to work on the same XCR 223/6.8/7.62X39 rifle we are discussing here because if it does I want this rifle even more now?
 
I thought so but had a moment of "oh my could it really be" because I have been dreaming of a rifle that could do it all for years now... :D
 
I've already got the xcr-l. Think I'll make it a matched set with the xcr-m once it gets up here. On another note my xcr-l does have a small rattle between the upper and lower. Heard it can be fixed by wedging a thin bit of cardboard behind the well.
 
Well guys I did a little more research and discovered that Robinson Arms XCR's in 223 are available in different colours so as of this morning and thanks to Wolverine I just ordered a 223 in OD Green should be here sometime in early Feb... :dancingbanana:

I'll then need a 7.62X39 conversion kit because I have over 2000 rounds sitting downstairs and I think it would make a fast handling 150 yard deer hunting rifle...

just to clarify, are you saying you plan to use czech corrosive ammo on deer?

i only ask because it is loaded with FMJ (full metal jacket)bullets, which aren't ideal for hunting big game, and may be not allowed in some or most areas by law.

Nothing at all wrong with the x39 for yotes. You need to be a bit more aware of the drop then 223, and depending on the tips used(for either cal) it can ruin a pelt if that is what you are after, but it works humanely. + then you can use it for deer.

The XCR that I bought a couple of years back was used for yotes. Once I got that rifle fixed, it worked really well hot or cold.

"NO I will not be using those rounds for hunting" I am a reloader and would buy brass/dies and reload my own hunting rounds.
 
I've been seriously considering the XCR latley. The one I tried seemed really front heavy, and don't know if it'd be ideal for what i'd want it for.
I'd really like to try an XCR with a fluted barrel, and just a simple EOtech before I decided.
