BTW - Don gave #201 to Chris Weber, a full stock flintlock possibly as late as July 2012 as indicated by a facebook page. Chris started to work for Don in 1985, I think making stocks.

I know Taylor in PG and I have seen his work. It is flawless and much of what he does is museum quality

Every inch, no initials.

Every single piece is stamped 91

Lock is L&R and stamped 91

Bottom of barrel is stamped;

For Black powder only .50

If there are no makers initials on it, I would believe that it may possibly have been made by Don himself. I was told by Taylor that the makers put their initials on the barrels or breach so they knew what they had made, as I have seen those. J Hall Sharon Barrels were the go to barrels back in the day. How does it shoot?

Here is a picture of my Robinson Fraser River Hawken .54 cal rifle and pistol. Taylor has seen them and remembered them.

There are not many pistols out there. This one has the birth date of the original owner hand engraved by Taylor on the underside flat rather than the makers initials. When I bought it I was fortunate to recognized the style and Taylor confirmed it was made by his hands at when I showed to him. It does not have the Robinson Prince George on it like the rifles do. IIRC I do not believe that pistols were made often.

 
It shoots excellent.

The only disadvantage is that I don't get to shoot it as much as I would like too.

Gorgeous wood on those two you have.
 
Hey Gerald, good to know you're enjoying my old rifle. In case I never mentioned it before, I bought the rifl from Ron Keegan.

I went to the 100 meters range today ! With a .530 pure lead bullet and a patch; 70 grains of Goex FFg --- > 1.5 inches !! WOW ...
